I have been dealing with a hair algae issue in my tanks for a couple weeks now & I believe I'm on track to solve it but need some help. I tested water last night and here are results.
pH - 6.7
Ammonia - 0.0
Nitrite - 0.0
Nitrate 0.0
GH - 6dKH
KH - 3dKH
PO4 - 0.5 ppm
I know I need to bring up the nitrogen and dose regularly other ferts ( just purchased auto dosing unit)
I'm using a Twinstar S 60cm, light is on for 8 hours.
Besides pruning the dead & dying leaves, extra water changes what else can I do to speed up the killing or help reduce the algae from growing back so quickly?
I will add some pictures later
