After battling off cyanobacteria and staghorn algae, I believe I now have a hair algae infestation. I have a Fluval Spec V with just a nerite snail living in it, probably too many lights, potentially too much light, and I'm dosing with Excel and Flourish.

My questions are: Is this hair algae? What's the best dip method for getting rid of it?

I am planning on gutting the tank, cleaning the gunk out from the substrate, and replanting everything in a different scape. I'd like to have the plants be algae-free, and I have so many leaves of dwarf sag and rotala that I'm worried just rinsing it by hand won't be enough.
