Any of you good people having any Luck growing moss in low to med light tank without co2. trying to find what i may have some luck with other than Java moss.

My christmas moss grows well low light no fert shrimp tank

I have low light and I have moss growing in places I dont want it. I actually just have been pulling it out this morning. If you look at the last pic on the page for my 10g journal thats linked in my sig you can see. That is peacock moss that started out the size of a golf ball. I have fissidens that started about the size of a dime that is now golf ball sized. Moss will grow fine in low light ime.

Almost all moss will grow in low light.

I've had "ok" success in low to moderate light growing moss. Good flow, good o2 is nice.

One piece of advice. Attach moss to something removable so you can trim it outside the tank otherwise it ends up everywhere when you trim it.

Thanks for the advice fellas. Have ordered Xmas moss, Native weeping moss and spikey moss.

In addition, moss really likes lower temperatures.
