hi guys,

i have some issues with green spot algae in my (heavily) planted tank.
i think it has to do with my nitrAtes and phospates, i tested my nitrAtes today at 1.5ppm/2ppm (this was 1 hour after i added my fertilizer) and my phospates are 0.25ppm.

do i need to add some nitrAte? because normally i test my nitrAtes at 0ppm.

You need to add more Phosphate. Green Spot algae grows when Phosphate is low and has nothing to do with Nitrate.

someone told me that green spot algea can appear if the balance between nitrates and phospate is not good

i switched from fertilizer brand and now it is gone!
