Drastic increases of PO4 does not get rid of GSA. Maintaining a low but stable proportion of PO4, however, does. Aim for 1-4ppm and leaves it. It takes several weeks.
Green spot algae with co2
I have a tank setup. Drop checker is green. PH probe measure one point drop in ph so I know I have optimum co2. However I keep getting gsa. I started dosing phosphates a lot for a week 1tsp every day, but no decrease of gsa. Any ideas? No other algae except gsa. Tank is 210 gallon and 50% water change once per week.
