So ever since I put a timer on my lighting the brown algae went away, but not I'm having this issue where on the glass its covered with green spots and now my java ferns have this stringy hair like algae on them. My otos don't seem to go to the ferns and eat them. Anyways, what's a good way to get reduce the growth?

My lighting time is 5 hours on 4 hours off and 5 hours on. I don't does, but I do have ADA aquasoil with some osmocote root tabs (5 tabs or so) Lighting is a Beamswork 10000k spectrum 0.5 watt leds. Am I having too much excess nutrients in the water column making the algae grow more? The issue started happening a little more after I did a water change last Wednesday. I skipped a water change this weekend since I did it twice because I ended up with new stock. Been a week since it died off, but now they are back already.
