Neos try to match colors of gravel, this guy tried a bit too hard.
no they really dont. wilds might but they dont blend in. when on dark colored substrate the colors tend to get brighter thinking they they are blending in but really not

Cool! I think I'd name that strain "Turf" because it looks like a section of grass with dirt under it. heh I've never seen that before.

Just for fun, have you thought about separating her and a male into another small tank to see if you can get any more from the offspring? If not in the f1, the f2?

its weird, if it was algae, it would rid when the molt happen

but this thing stay on like it's part of the harded shell...

I got no tanks to put shrimp anywhere now... but if she does produce young with that shell...maybe a new strain or something
