Gravity Fed Reactor?

Anyone ever try to run a gravity fed reactor? I was messing with my reactor this afternoon and had reworked my input back into the tank. Thats when it hit me to think about doing a gravity fed reactor so I could get the power head out of the tank feeding the reactor.

If Im thinking right, I could simply start a siphon have that run into the reactor. It will circulate with the co2, and then exit out the bottom. I believe that if there is enough force of the water falling it would enter back into the tank. Would it work or would the reactor fill up and not move any water?

It'll fill up, and when the water levels in the tubing are at the same height, it'll stop.
unless you have bubbles of CO2 providing lift like in air-powered internal filters.

No; it won't. The arm with the CO2 being lighter; it will reverse the flow. The same physics as the bubbler pump of a UGF.

Got a powerhead...thus the reason Id like to go with a gravity fed reactor...to get the powerhead out of the tank.

The problem I see is Im not sure if the gravity fed reactor would have enough force to return the water back to the tank, assuming that I hang the reactor off the back of the tank and do a simple loop back to the tank..
what type of filter are you using? if you have a canister you could splice the return of the reactor into the canister line. this way you can syphon out of the tank through your reactor and return into the aquarium through the power of the canister filter.

but, i dont know if hats what you going for.
