Hi guys,

Moved recently and I'm after a good source for live plants, substrates, fish, etc. I'm in the NW Toledo area, but I don't mind a drive. Anywhere within 30-45 minutes is in range, even if that takes me up to the Ann Arbor area, or into Monroe... whatever... it's fine by me.

Who's your go-to source?

if you find a good place, def share! the best places I've seen so far are pet supplies plus in north Ann Arbor and the packaged stuff at petco/petsmart. :-/

First place I'm going to try is Trilby Tropicals. I've seem both good and only so-so reviews on the place, so I'm kinda curious to check out the stock, service and prices.

I belong to another website, which I'll PM about if interested.
It's a great site, about aquaria in the great lakes region.

There are dozens of members who know that area loads better than I.
But I've heard of fish doctors, in I think Ypsilanti, which is AA's immediate neighbor.

And Detroit is loaded with places especially the southern portions.

I rather like Fish Doctors myself--it's on the bus route for me; easy access. They've only got one tank with plants (You want coral, though, they've got the hookup there...), but I've found them to be fairly decent. I haven't been to many other lfs in the area, though, due to aforementioned limited transport.
