I use several of this type bulb over my nanos. Make sure the kelvin is right, many of those lights are 4100K. The ones I picked up at WalMart were 10 watt, $5, and 6500K......DC

i am just planning on a low tech tank, would it be enough without having to use CO2

I might start a thread to follow the progress of the tank soon so that the plans will become more complete.

Yes, for a low tech low light tank, that would be sufficient.

PS: You got any frags of cool stuff you wanna trade? =P Just got some new corals yesterday. Another large frag of eagle eyes, got some Whammin Watermelons, etc...Fire & Ice. Let me know.
