I'm trying to grow a HC carpet in my 2 month old 29 Gallon using a Hygger 957 48W. It's not growing very well and I'm trying to figure out if it's my lighting. If it is the lighting are there any recommended high lights for under $150?

Current Light:

Current Status of HC after 1 month:

Would love any recommendations, I do not own a PAR meter so it's difficult to rule out lighting in that aspect

Are you pumping in CO2 and ferts? HC doesn't necessarily require too high of light when its other needs are met. It also takes a little while to adapt if you got it from emersed stock.

I can't seem to view your pic, so I'm not sure what condition it's in.

agree with jflng. there does not seem to be much vertical growth, so you may in fact have enough light.
