Hello Planted Tank! It has been a while... a long while...

My Black Moor goldfish had a leave stuck in it's mouth 5 days ago, I removed the leave easily without causing physical damage to the fish. But it appears that the leave was in there long enough to stress him because the next day I noticed a small white patch above his gill. I think it may be either columnaris or fungus but can not completely determine between the two.

Once I notice the white patch I added 1 tablespoon of kosher salt to the tank per 5 gallons, the tank is 40 gallons. The temperature for of the water is at 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Along with the salt I am treating the water with Pimafix and Melafix.

Any and all suggestions or help is appreciated. Thank you in advance. :)
