I have a school of 10 green neon tetras and one of them appears pink from a distance. When you look closer at it, it appears transparent through the body, similar to glass morphs of other fish…Is this a thing in green neons, or do I have a random mutant??

It appears to be a gold neon tetra (which is a selectively bred variety of a regular neon tetra).

Best regards,

Stuart

I have a similar issue This guy looked like his buddies when I first got em in…but in about two weeks he lost most of his color. I assumed he was ill, and would soon be a goner, but it’s many months later and he’s still fat and happy. Still think it means something is wrong internally, but not necessarily a death sentence apparently.
