Hi! I have been thinking about setting up my tank for some glass catfish! It would be a species only tank and I'm planning to us lots of rocks and drift wood and little plants since I know they would like low lighting thus making my choices very..limited ^^; I was just wondering if I should stock as if it's a 26 or a 28 since it's a bowfront so the bit in the front doesn't really add to the usable space for them. And how much can I fit comfortably in this tank?

I'd say that 6 cats would fit in there nicely, which is good because they are schooling and will do better with company. With good filtration you could probably bump that up to 8 or 9.

As for low light plants, you can try things like Java fern, anubias, or water wisteria. I've also found Egeria najas to be completely bulletproof- it'll still grow in little more than ambient light. Floating plants would also be a good way to add shade, and your catfish will love nibbling on the microfauna that hid in their roots. Hope that helps!
