Started with a throw away aquarium from my kids school and some Fluval cube take offs. Bought 3 RCS, a bunch of java moss and A. nana cutting for about 25 bucks. Another 20 bucks of plants that I bought withered away 5 months later and the tank seems to have stabilized Now have 40 or so RCS

I just did a full re-layout. All the wood and stones were picked up from the Santa Monica mountains. It should look more natural in a couple of months

Ive been selling all my CO2 stuff intended for a larger tank at the SnS forum. Iv realized that my lifestyle matches better with a non-co2 set up. Low maintenance

Once that moss matures a bit, it'll be gorgeous. It may even grow up thick enough for you to hide the internal filter behind it.

I like the way it's arranged, the fluval filter pops up too much IMO.
