So I’ve just done a test on my water, got the usual results except for one.

PH - 6 - I run pressurised co2
Ammonia - 0.25
Nitrite - 0ppm
Nitrate - 5ppm
Phosphates - 0ppm
KH - 50ppm (3 drops of test liquid)
* GH - 200pm (11/12 drops of test liquid)

Tank specs:

30L nano
Pressurised co2
Medium planted currently
I’d say heavily stocked with livestock for size

Obviously it’s the GH that’s obscure, I’ll go to my LFS tomorrow and have a look at what they have to fix this, anything else anyone spots?

What is obscure about 10-11 dGH?

Typical tap water depending on where you live.

Nothing will bring it down except for using RO water.

I’ve always had around 4-6dGh, I already use RO & remineralise, I was thinking maybe adding a few litres of plain RO but would that also bring the KH down maybe?

Maybe I’m just being paranoid

you might have rocks leaching Ca and Mg if you are remineralizing RO water to 4-6 dGH.

Yes, RO will bring down KH as well.

I believe that’s the case, I’ve added some new stone a few weeks ago, should’ve realised, thank you
