I started using Bee GH+ about three weeks ago. My tank GH had been 1-2 degrees and I wanted to get it closer to 4. It worked as advertised but a brown foam builds up in my water prep container. I prepare 30 gallons of tap water in a Rubbermaid brute trash can; Thrive all in one too 10 ppm NO3, five ml Prime and 4 dGH of GH+.

tap water test OK; no ammonia, nitrites or nitrates. 1-2 dGH, PH 7.4. Haven't checked dKH recently but has been ~6.

Any idea what is causing the foam?

Ok, cool. I've had Thrive do some weird stuff before. Over tint the water, not foam. But I can't reproduce the conditions that made that happen.

I've also seen some posts about Gh/Kh+ that seem to imply a bad batch but that was more about levels of Gh/Kh not aligning with directions rather than weird foaming.
