In addition to HO overhead lights, invest in a gooseneck spotlight, with the highest lumens/watt CFL. It will encourage side growth if you place it on tank sides. A pwrhead circulating CO2 helps also. If you have algea outbreaks, feed less, get otos, nerites, trumpet snails.Will it do anything to the speed they grow when trimming?
