Getting started with co2

403 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  dannylc
At what point should I begin feeding a new tank with co2?

Should I get it up to the correct level before introducing the first plants and if so how long before hand or when I actually introduce them?

Thanks

You start a tank as planted as possible and with co2. Assuming that your light requires co2.

The worst thing to do is to start a tank with few or no plants and no co2. And then Boom! Algae bloom!

:D
Ok cheers, even with not enough lighting I will need to replace the co2 due to the weir system from having a sump, I think anyway.

Still figuring out the basics of a planted set up :)
