you mean like this? How do I get my pearlweed go grow up, instead of turning into a carpet? The little stems seem prone to going sideways and rooting down horizontally, but I want it to form a nice, tall, fluffy bush, about 10" high, to fill in the background of the tank.
i replied to an earlier thread you posted about getting the beamswork da fspec for your20h. i have the same set up. this stand of hemianthus glomeratus was started 7 weeks ago after it lifted up entirely from the substrate (which it inevitably does). planted 3-4 stems set 1/2-3/4" apart, about 1" exposed. started beamswork at 85% for first 3 weeks, currently at 80%; light is 11" from the substrate. photoperiod is 6h 45m. lean dosing of 3-1.5-12 weekly. 3 year old dirt substrate. did first trimming after 4 weeks.
