German Ram VS HC cuba

I have 2 GBRs in my 55 and they leave my HC alone. My problem has been mylasian trumpet snails uprooting my HC by just moving underneath them.

My solution was a very small amount of super glue and an equally small rock. Since i've done that, none of my HC has floated and will hopefully give it time to grow roots.

I can use any super glue ???

The term Mikrogeophagus (Ram's) means.. small earth eater.
Would expect as much from them.
Would try carpet in tank with only shoaling species rather than those who sift through substrate as is their nature.

When my Monte Carlo rooted nicely, kribensis started to make little caves under it. It looks cute, but well, it needs replanting sooner or later.

Is it possible they're trying to spawn? Rams like to spawn on a flat surface like a rock or upside down flower pot. In their absence the fish will sometimes dig a small pit in the substrate and could easily uproot plants while doing so.

Well yes they are trying to spawn ,they make cavities on my fluval strutum substrate and become very aggresive with other fish ....

When are they going to overcome this stage ...?

They probably wont......its their drive for survival. Just like most other cichlids, they're known to be a bit aggressive especially when spawning. They will keep trying to spawn so long as you have a male and female together (and sometimes even if you dont!)

I see .....I dont wont to give them away,they seem really happy ....maybe I will put a net over the Cuba .....

Does anyone have another Idea ?
