I believe Glutaraldehyde is the main ingredient in Metricide 14 so it's probably just a different name. Did it come with a smaller bottle of solution along with the bigger bottle?

I recently ordered Metricide 14 off of a website when it arrived it was it was not the Metricide 14 made by Metrex but something labeled 14 day Glutaraldehyde, Sterilizing & Disinfecting Solution and looks like it is made by Pro Advantage by NDC. Has anyone used this exact product it is 2.6% Glutaraldehyde just like Metricide.

Yeah it came with the activator just like the Metricide does I just want to make sure other people have used this with no issues.
Are you guys adding the small activator solution to the gallon bottle before you start using?

I use the Pro-advantage by NDC, same strength. It's the exact same thing as Metricide 14 just different name. It used to be called Omnicide which I used for about a year.
Do NOT use the activator bottle.

Got mine from amazon, $14.99/quart, $30.00/gal. Not sure if that's cheapest or not.
I get mine from amazon too. There are other sources like eBay but not much savings difference and Amazon is highly reliable.

Just be aware that Metricide 14 is much more concentrated than Excel so you'll have to use less. Look for Glut calculators to figure out the exact dosing.

No need to dilute it. Dilution already occurs in your tank. Typical maximum dose of metricide-14 is 1 ml per 2 gallons tank water (0.5 ml per gallon).I dilute it so its no 2 potent
