Fx6 tube length?

649 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  lksdrinker
Hey guys we are about ready to move my 125g tank to this now renovated spot in this room. The closet to the right, will hold my Fx6 filter. We cut a hole in the bottom and fit it with a piece of pvc. I plan to run the tube from the filter through the hole and up to the tank. There will be about a 2 inch gap on both sides of the tank to the closet wall.

I haven't been able to get an accurate measurement, but does this look like it will be too long of hose for the filter to work, or should I be fine? Here's a before and after pic even though you can't see the hole.

I haven't the slightest clue how someone could give you an answer to this question.

Do you have the filter? Why don't you measure the hose and the space you have to see? If anything, you can probably replace the tubing with longer vinyl tubing.

That's what I was thinking. I didn't think id really be able to get an answer after posting, but either way I love the way I'll have it set up. I have an aquatop cf500 under the tank stand. I *think* I have enough hose, but also wondered if anyone else had a similar setup. Ready to get it up and running!

The length of the hose really shouldn't matter. Its the height difference between tank and filter than can cause limitations.
