Hey guys! I've had my sights on a 150g tall tank for a while and I have some questions... How would one go upon planting and whatnot in the substrate? It seems like it would be a long reach to the bottom. And I currently have a 80 gallon filter that hangs on the back of on one of my tanks and was wondering if I could just add another 70 or 80 gallon filter to the other side? Would that work or do I need a whole nother filter? Thanks!

Long tweezers, long scissor, lots of getting dirty and tons of elbow grease with patience. Deep tanks can still be fun to plant, though, even if slow and somewhat painful.

For filtration, you may want to consider a canister filter if you can afford it because you'll need lots of power and decent water movement.

If you are on a budget get 2 odyssea cfs 500 canister filters. (check evil bay they are around $60) The more filtration the better ;)

I have a fluval 305 canister that im going to set up sometime soon, but currently i have HOB made for an 80 gallon tank so it gives it a little extra flow. I was thinking of using that 305 and maybe a 405 if that would be enough.
If you keep your bioload very low, this will work.

I use a 305 and a cfs 500 on a 75gallon.

I will use a cfs 500 and a cfs 700 on my 125, I hope it will be enough filtration.
