Hi. I know that when you try to use grape wood or similar woods in an aquarium, they develop a white filmy fungus, which of course, I wanted to avoid. I bought a large log with a ZOO MED tag declaring it to be Mopani. Now, 3 days later, guess what I have on the end of it? Yup, that very same white filmy substance that I paid so much to avoid. And yes, I thuroughly cleaned it in scalding hot water in the bath tub and let it soak for a couple of hours before puting it in my tank. So is this something any of you have ever heard of before? It's sure a new one on me! I've had a few smaller pieces in tanks before and NEVER had this happen. Any advice or info would be much appriciated.

Thanks.
