Not 2 different species. It was mis-identified when it was introduced into the hobby a few years ago. hygro purple=Styro. purple.

Pple haven't realized that Nesaea crassicaulis is rare sp. to come by and more challenging than some erios sp. so if you want to take challenge this is sp. for you! I'm even ok to trade with some Eriocaulon cinereum...c'mon pple.
