Hello all!
I have a 5 gallon tank that I'm using as a shrimp/fry grow-out tank. It needs to be cleaned, but I'm struggling with how to clean it without sucking up any fish fry or shrimp. How do ya'll do it?

I've got a sponge filter running in the tank, and I've got a few plants, including needle leaf java fern, marimo moss ball, brazilian pennywort, and moss (either java or christmas, the seller didn't know for sure which when they sent it with my shrimp). When I set this tank up, I didn't plan on it being a permanent tank, so there's only a thin layer of gravel on the bottom of the tank. I would like to add more gravel to the tank, but am unsure how to do so without risking the possibility of catching an unsuspecting shrimp or fish fry by surprise.

Ideas and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
