How often do you feed your inverts? I have a 1 gal with 2 adult ramshorns and some babies, of course, and 5 ghost shrimp. It has a few plants that have been in there for almost 1 month now and lots of poo, not for lack of vacuuming with an airline. (How do such tiny animals produce so much poo??)
How often should I be feeding them? I've been dropping in goldfish pellets and/or algae wafer crumbs every 2-3 days and they are always devoured. Does this seem like too much?

I should mention that I do have a filter on the tank -Azoo Palm- and it gets weekly water changes (working on finding what % works well).

yeah ramshorns make a lot of poo. 2-3 days is probably fine with the small number of shrimp you have in a small tank. you can maybe break it up into small pieces and increase the frequency and still be ok. just be careful. you dont want to overfeed and ruin your water.

That depends on tank size, set up and number of shrimp/snails. I don't believe there is a set guideline.

+1 depends on a lot. I have a tank of wicked aggressive crystals that have to be fed every day or they will start attacking each other. My Taiwans are fine every other day or every 3 days because they aren't as aggressive. It's dependent to the aggression of the colony, shrimp species, biofilm, etc. My tibees were the same way, wicked aggressive and had to be fed every day and protein twice a week minimum. That's not saying all crystals are like that or all tibees, just my particular colonies.

I feed every few days. With most shrimp, it's easy because they'll just eat algae and biofilm if nothing else is available. Ghosties are a little different though. They don't eat much algae, and are constantly scavenging for food. I would feed them a small amount every day so they don't eat one another. I have literally seen one ghost shrimp rip another in half and devour it in a matter of minutes. Creepy!

I do a WC of about 1/4 of my AquaView once a month (or so). You should probably do every two weeks with ghost shrimp. I'm going to increase the frequency on mine here shortly because I'm impatient with my plant growth and want to start dosing Flourish Comp and resume dosing Excel every few days. I stopped for a while to give my crabs and shrimp a chance to get adjusted.

You should start a journal and post pictures of yours :)

Eww. That is creepy! lol

Mine is such a mess that I'm too embarrassed to post it right now. I've got a huge (well, small but huge for this tank) piece of driftwood in there that's kind of a weird "L" shape. There's a bunch of rubber bands and hairnets holding down plants. And I'm using it to try to grow out some floating plants and anacharis that I found.
I'll probably start posting pics once the plants grow in a little more. They're actually growing much more quickly than in my 20 g.
