I have no idea how good it is but at Costco this weekend I came across these for $7 each and figured it was worth sharing.

It's a 40-degree flood but figure 16" above the water surface will give a 12" spread.

It's designed for wet locations and fully dimmable with decent enough looking specs (CRI 90, 3000K, 800 lumens). But again I have no actual experience with it.

Hi, in those particular cases. I would not hesitate to write to the company and ask them for the spectral distribution of that particular lamp model. You can share it if you have it ;-)

Most big companies like Sylvania, Philips have them, i bet Luminus has them as well.

I see a potential problem with this one, the beam is narrow, 40 degres, take that into account, maybe 90 degres would be better but it depends on the setup, the spread of this one is limited.
