Does anyone know if Amazon is shipping the new 2016 version of this? All the pictures are of the old version. The price is pretty good for the new version but not to good for the old.

Anyone really not like the tank for a betta?

tbh I think the fluval V is horrible with its filtration system

In a planted tank its alright, this is my own opinion btw lol, but if the tank isn't planted then its pretty bad.. I had a hardscape only in it and it didn't go so well until I added some plants to help filtrate the water, also had to add another separate filter and take the built in one out

I'm still in the planning stages but we're planning on plenty of plants.

I would think they would be shipping the new version by now. The filtration on the spec v is fine. Keep the pump clean and I use this personally Fluval Spec Media Basket

Does the tank come with a media basket? I noticed one on amazon that's about $45. Why are they so much?
