Hello guys, new to planted tank forum but I am moderately experienced as far as raising fish and growing plants. I recently bought a fluval Flora planted started setup for my college apartment and bought an extra light so I'm at about 3.5 watts/ gallon. For co2 I made a DIY sugar-yeast setup which is working great. My plants (baby tears, swords, dwarf lily bulb, and Aponogeton boivinianus.) The Aponogeton boivinianus has grown much too fast and has quickly dwarfed the rest of my plants, as the tank is only about a foot high, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for some good background plants that would be about a foot high and add some vibrant green or some red to my tank. I also have some cherry shrimp in there for cleaning. Thanks for your help!

L. repens would work as well.

Not sure about the lighting for that tank, but I will point out that the watts per gallon rule is, for the most part, meaningless.

Depending on your lighting, and given the fact you are using CO2, you should give some thought to ferts at some point. Good luck.
