I'll be going for heavily planted, low/med light plants in non-CO2 fluval Edge 6 gallon. I either have a nice solid driftwood or some twisty driftwood branches and rocks.

Single large driftwood:

This is pushed back against the back glass, making it sit under the opening. I like how easy and simple this is, but it takes up a lot of volume.

Twig Driftwood Ideas - These are all very similar, using some branches I liked the look of, but I'm not very good at arranging them pleasingly in the space... not sure how I want the rocks positioned either. I have tons of branches to use, which makes it harder to find a good combination with all the choices.

1: (The white branch should be dark brown like the other wood, it just isn't wet.

Should I stick with the large, easy driftwood, or go in the more elegant, but more uncertain twig direction? I will probably keep messing with the layouts, but I wanted your guys' opinions.

I'm afraid the little rock will disappear with plants. I like the concept but I would encourage you to use a larger rock and maybe another somewhere. Try using odd #'s like three or 5 rocks. One tree and one twig, or three twigs? Idk... I envision one main focal point (the rear drift wood) I like that one, maybe moved slightly closer. Then a secondary focal point ( the larger rock) with two more rocks as accent.
Just my 2cents. This thing will be really sweet, keep it up.
