1st post here so please go easy on me! 馃槀馃憤 Following a successful 7 yrs with a marine setup using an Evolution Aqua Reef 600s sumped 100L Aquarium (80 L display) which measures 45cm (L) x 50cm(W) x 45cm(H). I鈥檓 going to attempt a planted conversion. I plan on non Co2 (although I might use liquid Co2) system and use easy care plants.

The light was using was very blue/purple focused for coral. Today I've purchased a fluval aquasky 12 watt as it fits the tank dimensions. I'm underwhelmed with its brightness but so far have not set tank up. To be fair it might be I'm used to bright marine tanks? Are the lights specs (12 watt, 800lm) adequate for the tank or should I return and get something else? Any recommendations? Thanks all...

"I'd" recommend something else since I'd prefer starting at 1w / gallon.
Of course the goal isn't like 150par at the substrate.

You could use 2. Much better blanket coverage.
$120-ish for 2.

Or something like this:
50wis more than enough.
