Hi Friends,

Im a new member here and i have a 10g planted tank . Im planning to use the Fluval 88g Co2 Kit . Would anyone be able to tell me how long will the canister last if im going to run it at 1bubble/3 seconds for 8 hours a day?

I would also appreciate if the experts here could take a look at my tanks pics and give me some feedback on how it looks and how it could be made better.

Hi Blue, welcome to the forum!You might want to try asking this question in the general or nano planted tank section. This is the low tech section of the forum and that usually means tanks that use no pressurized CO2 at all which can explain the lack of replies.

As to your question, I never used the fluval kit so I could not tell you how long it will last. I can tell you it will quickly become a money sink with the refills and can maybe not be accurate. Perhaps look into a paintball canister from amazon and a regulator. I use the paintball regulator by aquatek personally. More money up front but I pay maybe 5$ to refill every three or more months in my 25 gallon.

Thanks water-kitties , unfortunately we dont get the paintball setup's in India and i would have to go for these readily available kits or bigger industrial cylinders . Anyhow as suggested by you i would ask for help in the nano tank section.

I use a 88g at 1 bubble a second and it jsut ran out. Run 8hrs a day and took about 4.5 weeks to drain. Becareful tho they drain VERY fast. One day the reeading will be normal, the next day it will be half and only last a couple days more. Saying this because as we speak, I am out and waiting on amazon to hurry up and SHIP my order from last week
