Hi I got a 7gallon cube with co2 and flourite black sand with hc cuba carpet,

I'm starting 20 long with co2 as well I got 2 bags of flourite black sand ....however I heard flourire sand compacts and it wont root well is this true? Any of you out there has this problem? Or successfull growing carpet?If not which subtrate to use? Im switching out my fluval stratum its a PITA to plant anything in it too big.

Flourite sand is a plant specific substrate so you won't have any problems growing plants.

FWIW, sand substrates are fine. I've used PFS for years without issues. Roots grow fine in them.
