I currently have a 29 gallon planted aquarium with one small problem . All the fish won't leave the top . The fish are 3 dwarf discus a handful of platies and a few swordtails . I have checked and medicated for gil flukes , and Nitrogen toxicity and it is neither one . I have a feeling that it may be hypoxia but i'm not sure how to treat that . Any suggestions ?

Add an airstone right away. This will immediately help with the co2 exchange.

If low oxygen was the cause, your fish should start recovering rather quickly.

If this doesn't help, it could be some other contaminent in your tank (chemical). Then a large water change would be in order.
