I have a 38 gal fully planted tank. Currently swimming inside are 5 boesemani rainbows (they are the most energetic friendly fish EVER), Red Tail Shark, 1 lone surviving oto that appears once a week ago to remind me he is still alive.

What else would people suggest to fully stock the tank??

1 angel, neon dwarf rainbows, threadfin rainbows,
Angels really need to be kept in pairs or groups to be their happiest. Few do well as loners.

Five Bosemanis is quite a lot for 38 gallons, as well as the shark. Those guys all get fairly large. I don't know that you should add much more. But that's also what I tell myself every time I buy some more fish...I'm a big overstocker in my own tanks...

You might be able to get away with something else that's smaller, like the threadfin rainbows. They're really energetic and fun if you get a group of males and females together. I love watching the little males display themselves to the girls. They're great fish. I think rainbows belong in every planted tank; they just look like they belong there.
