I bought dwarf rasboras and one of them turned out to be this guy... anyone know what the name of this fish is?

Nobody?

Is the thumbnail viewable?
It works. I don't know what it is, though.

If it wasn't so long and thin, it'd look like a Glowlight Tetra. I looked though the fish profiles and don't see anything else similar.
Rasbora pauciperforata

LFS told me it is a redstripe rasbora... even though the stripe is gold...

I found this about it when googling the name:

Found in peats and secondary peat forest streams (Southeast Asia). Occurs at midwater levels to surface in shallow sluggish and standing waters, marshes and swamps, usually under forest canopies. Appears to prefer soft acidic water that is often tannin-stained. Found in small openings of generally dense vegetation. Feeds on zooplankton and some insects.
To me it looks like a Golden White Cloud Mountain minnow. I could be wrong though.
Its body shape is not even structured similar to tetras. Rasbora would be my best guess. Amanda, is there a seemingly black stripe under its gold line? I noticed a pale black stripe under it.

Rasbora pauciperforata would be my guess.

By the way, your lfs' label is correct although I always consider common names as rather crap for various reasons.
