Hey guys, new to the site and hobby. Have some questions I hope I can get some answers to based on your own experiences and knowledge. My first question is I have a 40 gallon tank, 16" tall. I have a dual T5NO with a 21W 6,700k bulb, and a 21W colormax bulb. I was wondering what kind of light I am getting to my tank and is it sufficient enough to grown some low to medium light plants. Thanks for all of your help.

Any low but hardly any med light plants..a few maybe. Some med plants will grow in low light but just will only have green color. May also be stringy as if stretching for the light. The good thing is you likely won't need to deal/w algae issues.

In addition: Petco Crypts/Crypt wenditii/ Bronze Crypt/water sprite/water wisteria but that one requires extra ferts/floating Hortworth
Any Java Fern.
