So my girlfriend and I finally got an Aquarium. $50 for a 55gal with stand, UGF, Perfecto light hood, 2 powerheads and some bad decor. We bought 60lbs of Eco-Complete, some driftwood, Emperor 400 Powerfilter (I'm not using the UGF), 2x55 AhSupply lights (coming tomorrow), and I've picked out some plants. The tank is just about done cycling and hopefully we'll add some fish within the next couple days.

We plan on having:
3 Golden Dojo Loaches
2 Kribs
1pr Boeseman's Rainbowfish(Melanotaenia boesemani)
1pr Blehers Rainbowfish (Chilatherina bleheri)
6 Tiger Barbs or 6 Tetras (of the Hyphessobrycon type)
5 Ottos
1 Dwarf Gourami

The pics (don't mind the reflection of the window in the background, the tank does not get any direct sunlight):

I do have a couple questions on a few of the plants. I believe the tiny lily in the left is a Rubra Water Lily (Nymphaea sp. "rubra"). Can anyone confirm/deny? (sorry I don't have another picture. Then I just bought a Hygrophila today but am not sure what kind it is. I do have a better picture of it though.

Very nice start. I like the Anubias and the tall plant on the far left, not sure what that is. BTW: Is that rock formation held together somehow?

The tall plants in the corners are the Hygrophila. The rock formation is held together with HoldFast Epoxy Stick.
Just a note I had the same filter and you might end up with a lot of poop in your tank, I can suggest a Rena XP3 or something along those lines will help out a great deal.
