I can't say that I've ever seen dwarf hairgrass seed for sale. Typically you buy a bunch in say a pot, then desperate it and plant each individual root. Just make sure to have even coverage. From there each root system will send out runners and it will fill in. You have lots of time. Read the sticky's in this forum. Do all of the research you can. Most importantly come up with a plan and have a backup plan for all of the parts of that plan. Remember that you aren't just making something that looks nice, you are creating a life support system for the livestock that you plan (there's that word again) to keep. Best of luck!
