[Nostromos]

So I've got the gear now and the girlfriend and I went out two weekends ago searching for driftwood for the hardscape. The good news is we both found pieces we like but the bad news is I don't know how I can make them work together.

I guess at this point I am looking for advice on how I might arrange or possibly even change these two pieces. I'd also like to hear from people on how I might be able to incorporate some stones and possibly how to spread the substrate.
Ideally we can use both pieces of driftwood as we both like our respective choices.

The small, knobby piece actually stands up on its own but I may need to alter or secure the larger piece.

I hope the picture size is good enough otherwise I can upload larger versions.

Turn the branchy one over so it looks like an underwater tree leaning over the top part of the tank.

+1 I do like the idea of turning them upside down from how they are now (the ones on the left) You could add stones under it so it looked like it was growing over them... Very cool wood!

I could probably do that, as it currently stands those two 'branchy' pieces are actually one piece and attached.
