Hi Guys,

Pretty new at this, just had my shrimps for 2-3 weeks... I noticed today, I have a berried one... what do I need to do? How long do the eggs hatch? I have a Fluval Flora kit, do I need to do something special with my filter?

links? Thanks guys...

You don't need to do anything. Just let it be. Take around 25-30 days to hatch.
Make sure there is something covering the intake to keep babies from getting suck in. Otherwise, just let things happen. If you have berried shrimp then things are doing ok in your tank. It takes around 30 days for the eggs to hatch.
If those are RCS which they look like they are, yep just let them be. When I had two berried RCS, I put them in a breeder net and keep them in there until the eggs hatched. Then I left the babies in the breeder net for a few weeks. But at the time I had fish and I wanted to ensure my babies lived.

Thanks guys... This is going to be very interesting for me...
Hey, it is an exciting thing, enjoy the process! Get a magnifying glass if you don't have one, it's cool to see the eyes develop.
I have another berried shrimp a Yellow one...

As you can see in the foreground... the Reds are mating... :icon_eek::icon_eek:

And here's the male after the mating...

He's frozen... :icon_lol: :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

Just keep in mind, mixing yellows and reds will result in brownish wild colored shrimp. Some people don't care, some do. If you want to keep your colors pure, you need to separate them.
Thanks for the advice... But I just have one tank right now... So will just let things be as of the moment...

Yeah, I personally think the wild ones are cool in their way. At some point you can always set up another tank and move out the yellows.
