I got these shrimp a few weeks ago, but didn't post because I don't like to jinx.
They are all doing fine, with some CRS tank mates.
I don't know what to classify them as. Some are red all the way, and the smaller ones look cherry, with more clear areas. Judging from that RCS chart I seen, I think they are fire? Whatever, as long as I see red. There are 17 total, but still shy and learning the ropes:

I'll have to get a pic when the majority are together. All the big ones are the reddest.
There are no full red little ones. I didn't want all full red large adults for fear they may all turn out to be girls. I just can't tell if the little ones are immature and need to redden up more, or males.
I know the males can be more drab. Is the idea to pick the reddest males to breed?
I'm at the stage now when each shrimpy in the tank is precious and getting them to thrive is the goal. Is it easier to just start out with an exceptional male? Do ya'll do that? Put just one ideal male in with a bunch of females, like guppies? Or it doesn't matter-mob rules? Can one purchase just one or two really typey "stud" shrimp? Or are they "dam" dominant?
