Im looking for a way to secure my 5lb CO2 tank inside the cabinet, and wonder if a standard fire extinguisher wall bracket like below would fit an aquarium 5lb tank?

Has anyone tried using this kind of thing?

I'd double check to make sure metal strap is long enough for the diameter of the 5 pound cylinders, but it looks like you could easily replace it with something that is longer.

I have used similar stuff at work

Just get a roll of plumbing strap and a couple screws .

Thanks for the replies folks. I ended up buying the fire extinguisher bracket above but have to do some mods as it didn't fit.

- Widen the bottle neck holder as its too small.

- throw away the metal strap (too short, pity can't use it) and use a few strong velcro straps in its place.

The bottle is now very secure and cant fall down.
