Anyone have good luck growing carpeted plants with these lights?
I'm going to use it in a 12" deep 8GAL tank with some CO2 supplementation from a DIY system. Think that will be ok?

It depends on the dimensions of the tank. Longer LED lights produce more intensity at a given distance than shorter ones. It also depends on what plant species you are going to use as a carpet plant. Marsilea minuta will grow well with a lot less light than HC needs.
yes. its a pretty strong light. I consider this light to be too bright for my liking growing a carpet of hairgrass. I only turn it on for 4 hours a day and I move it between my front and back of tank.Anyone have good luck growing carpeted plants with these lights?
