For a long time, I have had 25 Gold WCMM's in my tank. Well, recently, I noticed like their numbers have dropped a bit. While doing maintenance, I found several dried fish carcasses at the bottom of my stand lol

I do have a glass lid on my tank, but no back strip sadly. How likely is it they jumped out through this small piece in the back? Also, about a month and a half ago, there was two or three days where our AC wasn't working, so I had removed the glass lids to try to cool down the tank more. I suppose they could have jumped out at this time as well.

Fish can jump through surprisingly small spaces. It's worth having a good cover to prevent finding fish jerky on your floor.

Sounds like they jumped out when the glass top was removed.
They were likely stressed by the heat.
I've kept wcmm in a similar set up with the narrow strip uncovered and never lost one.
