Filtration vs algae

my question it's simple but I can't find a right answer...# massive filtration helps algae problems?or just the fact of more water flow it's helpful for algae...

I have a 90 gallons 280watts no c02 120 substrate 2 305 fluval 6 hours light daily dosing potassium 3x week and flourish 1x week.. plants are growing insane .. all cycle it's perfect... 2x fluval are 100% bio ... with that system I had only diatoms problems but because of silicate .. and It's fixed.. I'm diatoms free ... now I just adding my new baby fx6 the new model .. on top of that .. I'm doing all bio also with purigen... BTW where the purigen goes on the fx6?...everybody tells me to put co2 .. I'm scared to my growth levels get insanely fast....

Excessive filtration will not stop algae from growing, but it can be helpful (where algae is concerned) in specific situations. Some types of algae don't do well in high flow, higher flow often results in better exposure of nutrients to your plants (inhibiting algae growth as a byproduct), and free floating algae is more readily pulled into the filter where it has less light source for growth (and is then cleaned out when performing maintenance).
if you have very efficient filtration then the faster that ammonia will get turned into usable nitrates. Also if you have a good amount of flow then it will also deter some type algae from growing like bba
