I'm setting up a used BioCube 29 Gal, it has the stock 316 gallon per hour filter. For filtration media, I was going to use:

1. A sponge filter.
2. Some Polyester Floss.
3. Carbon and filter bags.
4. Bio Balls (I'm assuming this is necessary) or do I use ceramic?

Additionally I've also got an old Eheim 2217, I wasn't really considering hooking it up because I thought perhaps it would be overkill plus I'm not sure how easy it is to attach an Eheim canister filer to the BioCube, but I've got it so...
