Making a 55gal aquarium into a paludarium,i'm having some filtering problems. the old hang on the back of the aquarium filter while great for a full aquarium does not seem to have the power to now suck the water up a foot of tube.Was wondering what type of filter i should look into for the 5-10 gallons of water at the bottom of the 55gal tank.

I would imagine any type of canister filter or internal filter would work. Also with both, they can easily be hidden with plants, hardscape etc, to make it appear completely self-contained.

I use internal filters, or a fountain pump wrapped in some floss.
